IF MY PEOPLE...WILL HUMBLE THEMSELVES...

ree

O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments, we have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments. (Daniel 9:4-5)

As a nation, we are guilty, O Lord. We have not protected and cherished the freedoms that You have given us. We have not followed the principles of the Bible. We have looked to our own abilities, and wealth, and human knowledge, rather than seeking the true wisdom that comes from God. We have forgotten where our blessings come from. Forgive us, Father. Turn our hearts back to You. Enable us to see the error of our ways. Shine Your light on the dark and evil forces that seek to destroy us. We cannot stand without You. We ask You to search our hearts and to cleanse us of anything that displeases You. Make us to be the people that You want us to be for such a time as this. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
