We need to pray for America!  We need to pray for Christians to be a light to the world.  We need to invite God back into our nation.  These prayers are designed to be starting points for your time with the Lord.  I have compiled them from prayer-warrior friends across this land.   Not famous people, not renowned scholars, just ordinary people who have made it their life’s goal to walk with God in a personal love relationship.  Maybe you struggle with knowing how to pray or what to pray, so reading these written prayers can be your heartfelt petition to the Father for our nation.  The Holy Spirit may prompt you of other needs we have in America that He wants you to pray as well.  Our goal is to encourage you to pray every day for America, and for all of the followers of Jesus Christ to obey the command given in 2 Chronicles 7:14, so that God’s promise will be activated.  My suggestion is to pray each day at 7:14 a.m. or 7:14 p.m. (or both!) to make it a corporate time of prayer.  Just think if thousands of us were all praying the same prayer at the same time!  Yes, I know we have different time zones, but God is bigger than our time zones, plus He knows our heart’s desire.  Let Him change you, change us, and change our country because of our obedience to ask, seek, and knock.  Don’t give up.  The battle belongs to the Lord!  For the Lord your God is He who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory. Deuteronomy 20:4.
