7:14 PRAYER SIXTEEN

...WILL HUMBLE THEMSELVES...

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that You, God, will do whatever is necessary to get our country to see our self-sufficiency, greed, pride, and "me first" mentality for what it really is. It is simply sin. All of sin is just rebellion against You and often we don't even acknowledge the fact that much of our lives are an affront to You. I ask for forgiveness for the many times I have chosen my way instead of Your way. I also acknowledge that our country has long lost its way--so much that calling ourselves a Christian nation is a pipe dream and devoid of reality. Only by realizing our need for repentance and forgiveness will we, as a country, even begin to be able to turn from our wicked ways. I also recognize that there is eternal hope in You. The more that we get to know You, the more we want to emulate You and the more we love You. Thank You for being the God of hope. In Jesus' name, Amen.
