PRAYER FOR OUR SUPREME COURT

Father, our nation was founded on Judeo/Christian values years ago, as one nation, under God (not a bunch of gods). However, we have allowed our judicial system to erode the very moral and spiritual fiber this once great country was founded upon. Our judicial system has twisted our Constitution opposite that which our founding forefathers proposed. You helped me realize this erosion happened through our courts, and any attempts to return to the principles our nation was founded upon will have to be done through the courts, with Your power.
In 1962, prayer was taken our of our public schools. Shortly thereafter, abortion was legalized. Today, that which You call an "abomination" (homosexuality) is now openly embraced in our country, with ministers living that lifestyle and promoting/condoning it from their pulpits. Our government and courts condemn Christians for taking a stand for righteousness. LGBTQ and changing of one's gender is being taught to our children beginning at age 5, without the knowledge or consent of their parents. Christians are being targeted as domestic terrorists if they do not condone and embrace this Satanic World View. It seems we are being bombarded at every turn.
Lord, I pray that You would get the attentions of our courts, especially the U.S. Supreme Court justices, and would shake us to our very fiber--regardless of the cost. I pray that You would intercede on behalf of all followers of Jesus Christ and would remove the influences of "political parties" from our courts. Please shower our Supreme Court justices with the courage to defy political pressures and to take a stand for righteousness. Please impress on all of us the importance of voting for people who love our country and believe what we were founded upon. Keep at the forefront of our minds to "seek first the Kingdom of God and Your righteousness" as we cast our ballots in future elections, which ultimately determine who sits in judgment and the shaping of our laws. Impress upon us the mindset which Mordecai directed to Queen Esther: "who knows but that you have been placed here for such a time as this." In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
