PRAYER FOR THE HURTING

Father, we see pictures of the heartbreaking destruction in our nation, whether it be from hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires, drought, or flooding. The devastation of homes, businesses, farms, roadways, and bridges are crushing blows to the individuals involved and to the entire community. The Church is tasked with providing hope, support, help, and prayer for these victims. I pray that churches will unite to carry Your love to those who are hurting. We ask You to bring hope and healing to those who have suffered loss, and we thank You for Your promise to heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). Do a mighty work, Lord, we ask in Jesus' name.
