PRAYER FOR THE SENATE

O God, I lift up the Senators of each state in our union. They have such an important role in our government. Let them not forget that they were elected to serve and to act in the best interest of the people in their state. Help them to be above reproach, men and women of impeccable character who genuinely want to make America strong and free. Guide their thoughts and their actions. I ask You to raise up men and women with a deep reverence for the One True God and the humility to serve Your people well. I pray that they will look to You for wisdom because You are the only source of Truth. Strengthen them to stand firm on the principles of the Bible and the Constitution. We need Senators who have servant hearts. May they stay true to their calling. Please edify and encourage each one who follows hard after You, Lord.
